Leigh and Lowton Topper sailors return great results in the VR Virtual Rigger Topper Winter Regatta
Most of the Topper fleet sailing in the Winter series braved the weather and the journey to Weymouth last weekend. With 7 sailors finishing in the top 31 in a fleet of 153.
Lucy Mearns and Steph Wingeatte put up a good fight finishing 31 st and 51st respective.
Daniel Budden and James Grummit finishing in the top 30 .
Oliver Blackburn took the prize for first under 14 boy and 18th overall.
Nick Deveraux a well deserved 10 th
Tom Wallwork a credible 7 th even if he still sails under Redesmere’s banner.
Haydn Griffiths clinched a impressive 2nd overall.
